With all of these great offerings in the same location, you can find the perfect theme for every camper!  With so many options, the hardest part will be choosing which ones to attend!  Camp curriculum is age appropriate with hands on projects and experiments designed to keep your camper active and learning all summer long!

Art and Science STEAM CAMP

Full STEAM ahead! This combo camp will feature exciting Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math activities to spark the imaginations of campers. Each day will be packed with awesome mixed media visual arts activities along with engaging STEM-certified science and technology experiments. This camp is designed to keep children entertained, engaged and having fun all day! Participants should bring a brown bag lunch, beverage and two snacks each day. Attire: Wear old/play clothes.

DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP:

  • Camp will begin at 8am each day and end at 5:30pm (check-in starts at 7:45am)

  • Please escort your student inside and sign in with your instructor.

  • Pick up at 5:30pm inside.  Please sign out with your instructor.  Bring ID when picking up your student.

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Packed Lunch, 2 snacks, water bottle

WHAT NOT TO BRING:

  • Please do not send NUTS as a snack or as part of your child’s lunch.
  • Please do not bring toys, tablets, or other devices that could be damaged. The STEAM Club will not be liable for lost or damaged personal belongings.

COVID-19 HEALTH AND SAFETY GUIDELINES:

The Steam Club will exceed COVID-19 safety requirements issued by the GA Department of Health, including mandating masks for teachers and staff, frequent sanitization of equipment and surfaces, and socially distancing children during class time.

Small Group Size – Total enrollment limited to 20 students per week
Social Distancing – Instructors will model social distancing
Face Masks – Instructors must wear masks at all times
Sanitized Surfaces – Equipment will be disinfected every day
State Guidelines – We will follow all additional county and state guidelines

Robots vs Aliens

Art and Science STEAM CAMP
In this awesome MASH-UP camp, students will explore the Cosmos while documenting their trip with artistic masterpieces! Navigate the stars and planets and maybe even encounter new friends from out of this world! This multi-media space camp will thrill and excite as students imagine and interpret the final frontier. Additionally, this camp will be an amazing introduction into the world of robotics. Campers will have fun constructing their own robots each day and will work in the areas of observation, experimentation and trial and error as they build, race, and experiment with their robots. Campers will be able to take home some of the robots they build for hours of fun after the camp week has finished! *Price includes a lab fee of $25.

Video Game Lover

Another great MASH-Up for 2024, this camp is perfect for all of you gamer’s out there! Watch your creativity to run wild as you learn to build a video game that your friend’s will love to play. We provide a user friendly software that allows campers to create many types of computer games, screen savers, and more! Campers will get started with an Intergalactic Shooter Game while they learn to create moving backgrounds, build scores and plays, design instructions and titles, create their own villains, and transition screens. As they progress in the week, campers will learn how to create games with additional platforms for more challenging gaming. As a bonus, explore the Art involved with gaming. Students will create video game inspired artwork that they will be stoked to display! Extra time will be spent explore digital gaming using Minecraft: a block-building sandbox game with no set rules, where you can build anything you can possibly imagine. ***All campers are required to have a Minecraft™ account for this class. Purchase a standard account and desktop version of Minecraft™ ($26.95) at minecraft.net/store. Campers should bring their account login when they come to camp. ***

Fashionista Design Studio

In this fabulous summer camp students will learn about designing their own unique fashions and accessories. Students will begin with the building blocks of design from figure drawing to creation techniques. Students will explore color, pattern and the elements and principles of design, as well as create their own clothing and accessories.

Super Sleuth Spy Camp

Toy Inventor

Join us for this awesome toy maker’s workshop where students will design, build and create their very own toy projects to take home. Campers will learn the science behind how the toys work while tapping into their creative side to paint, draw and design! Make your own piggy bank, kaleidoscope, clay animal, snap circuit board and more. Sir Isaac Newton never had this much fun!

Anime & Cartooning

Ages 6-14

Learn how to use familiar geometric forms to create cartoon characters in the popular Japanese anime style as well as several other styles used to create popular graphic novels, including the popular Harry Potter series and Marvel characters. Students will gain understanding of construction and proportions as relates to figurative drawing.  This fun-filled class will also teach the principles of prospective drawing and background design, so that kids may place their characters into realistic settings. By practicing these basic art skills, young artists will develop the confidence and ability to visually communicate their unique imaginative ideas and stories. Claymation

Create your own Claymation video production! Students will learn step by step how to make their very own Claymation movie! Beginning with creating their own sets, characters and scripts students will create the elements necessary to produce their very own animated film….but the fun doesn’t stop there! Seas The Day

Did you know that the Earth is over 70% water? Have you met any creatures that live in the ocean? Do you know what a cartographer does or been orienteering? Join us in a hands-on adventure as we explore ocean currents, tides and waves and learn about the many weird wonders that live under the sea. Create your own adventure with map making and orienteering. Learn the ancient technique of Gyotaku or “fish printing,” and discover how penguins tell each other apart! Learn about oil spills and how to clean them as well as how to harness the power of the ocean. Oceanography was never this much fun!

The Art of Cooking

Join us for a fun filled week where campers will dive into the Art of Cooking! Your young chefs will learn to prepare fun foods and decor favorites in a safe and fun environment! Campers will learn to cook and bake through hands on applications where we discuss the science of the recipes as well as the art of presentation! Everyone will take home their own recipe book at the end of the week, as well as some amazing new artwork, perfect for your kitchen and dining area!

Paint Studio

Ages 6-14

In this summer camp students will have a blast painting with acrylics, watercolor and much more! They will create paintings on canvas and specialty papers while they learn about color theory and different painting techniques. Students will also learn best studio practices, including how to choose and protect supplies.  Your young artists will fill your home with unique and beautiful artwork by the end of this week. Campers will be separated by age group.
